Air filters are the first step to tuning any engine. The principle is simple, the more air you get in the engine, the more power you get out. Ok, so there is obviously more to it than that, but bolting on an induction kit can increase your cars power from 1-2bhp, up to 15bhp (rolling road proven!!) With modern ECU's you don't have to re-map or tune the engine, just bolt the kit on! Even a replacement element alone can add a couple of horses, and you never have to replace it, so they quickly pay for themselves. For the maximum power, you can go for a K&N typhoon kit, or an enclosed intake system like the BMC CDA kits maximising cold air intake.
Whether you are into fast road, or track / gravel racing, your car will greatly benefit from uprated suspension. Lowering springs, full suspension kit and coilovers each have their advantages and the range means that we can cater for your suspension needs whatever your budget
Performance exhausts are a great way to improve the power, and sound of your car! Even with just a sports exhaust back box, your car can sound like it means business and have a noticeable improvement in power. For the maximum power increase though, a full exhaust system is the way forward. Sports cat, or de-cat pipe (not road legal) and tubular manifold give further power gains. Free flowing exhausts get the gases out of the engine quicker, and help improve power and acceleration, especially at higher revs.
Upgrading your brakes is vital if you have increased your cars power! It is all very well accelerating like an Aston Martin, but if you stop like a shopping trolley, you are going to be in trouble. We have a large range of options for improving your brakes. Performance pads work great on standard or up rated drilled / grooved discs, improving pedal feel and reducing brake fade and glazing. For serious stopping power then a large disc upgrade or 4-6 pot callipers are the ultimate in braking systems. We have the leading brands including Bembo, Tarox, AP and Hi-Spec all at unbeatable prices.
There are a myriad of ways to tune an engine, and you can just clean it up a little with some Magnecor ignition leads, and some up rated spark plugs, or bolt on a turbo, add a ECU and boost controller, maybe a charge cooler! Whatever you need, we have it, and cheaper than the competition!
We all like a bit of luxury, and you spend a lot of time in your car, so spoil it a little. Some sports seats, leather steering wheel and colour coded leather gear knob and gaiter can make your car a much better place to be! Whether you want the quality of Momo, or the something shiney like Richbrook, DCPerformance have the lot and you wont find any of it cheaper!
Whether you are after a subtle spoiler, or a full on lairy body kit to ensure you never see another car like yours at the shows, then DCPerformance has it all.
You can dramatically update the look for your car with some new lighting. Ditch the orange indicators for some clear or crystal clear indicators, fit some shiny angel eye headlamps, and some LED or Lexus style taillights and suddenly your car stands out from the crowd! We have all the leading brands including Ultra, InPro and Auto Art all at unbeatable prices.
If you are increasing your vehicles power, then you will inevitably put more stress on the clutch and transmission, which is when you require an uprated clutch. From organic to paddle clutches, we have them all. Couple this with a quick shifts for sharp and precise gear changes and you will really be able to feel the different in your 0-60 sprints!
Braking products are safety - critical components and vehicle manufacturers' guidelines should always be followed. Before attempting to fit replacement parts, always compare the new components with those removed from the vehicle, to ensure compatibility. It is strongly recommended that brake pads and discs are fitted in axle sets. Replacing components on one wheel only can be extremely dangerous. Do not fit new brake pads to excessively worn discs, as this may impair braking performance and reduce pad life. Before fitting replacement brake parts, ensure that all other braking system components, especially brake callipers - as well as those associated with steering and suspension - are not excessively worn or damaged otherwise disc warping can occur. To ensure maximum performance and service life, new brake pads, shoes and discs require "bedding in". This is best achieved by using the vehicle under normal driving conditions for at least 250 miles. Avoid violent braking from high speed or excessive light braking applications during this period.
IN ALL CASES IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT INSTALLATION OF BRAKE DISCS AND PADS IS UNDERTAKEN BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN. When fitting brake pads, care should be taken to ensure that the pads are fitted in their correct positions using fitment kit's / pad clips where applicable. Ensure pads do not become contaminated with oil / grease before or during fitting. Some pads are fitted with anti-squeal shims coated with adhesive. The peel - off cover protecting the adhesive surface MUST be removed before the pads are fitted.
Before fitting discs it is vital to ensure that the vehicle hub is free of debris/dirt and rust deposits, otherwise brake judder may occur. Disc and drum braking surfaces should be cleaned using a suitable brake cleaner before fitting (ensure that the brake cleaner manufacturer's safety instructions are followed). Please note White Spirit is NOT an acceptable cleaning product. Brake Discs can be specific to one side of the vehicle only, so always ensure the correct disc(s) are fitted to the correct side of the vehicle Before testing/driving the vehicle ALWAYS check the brake lines & callipers for signs brake fluid leakage, check and if necessary top up at reservoir.
