Air filters are the first step to tuning any engine. The principle is simple, the more air you get in the engine, the more power you get out. Ok, so there is obviously more to it than that, but bolting on an induction kit can increase your cars power from 1-2bhp, up to 15bhp (rolling road proven!!) With modern ECU's you don't have to re-map or tune the engine, just bolt the kit on! Even a replacement element alone can add a couple of horses, and you never have to replace it, so they quickly pay for themselves. For the maximum power, you can go for a K&N typhoon kit, or an enclosed intake system like the BMC CDA kits maximising cold air intake.

Performance exhausts are a great way to improve the power, and sound of your car! Even with just a sports exhaust back box, your car can sound like it means business and have a noticeable improvement in power. For the maximum power increase though, a full exhaust system is the way forward. Sports cat, or de-cat pipe (not road legal) and tubular manifold give further power gains. Free flowing exhausts get the gases out of the engine quicker, and help improve power and acceleration, especially at higher revs.

Scirocco R ALLOY ADJUSTABLE ACTUATOR
This actuator is designed specifically as a direct replacement for the MK5 VW Golf which utilises the 2.0 litre FSiT engine.
This wastegate actuator, if assembled with the yellow colored spring, which is rated to a base pressure of 10-15 PSI, will increase the boost output of the application to a degree that will exceed the ability of the stock fuel system to maintain the necessary supply of fuel. Because of this, Forge must recommend that a high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) upgrade be installed, and the necessary fuel pump specific software also be utilized prior to the installation of this actuator. We recommend using software, that offers the ability to adjust boost, fuel, and timing settings to best compliment this wastegate actuator, paired with a HPFP upgrade, in order to be able to supply ample fueling.
This product is built with a predetermined actuator spring suitable for at, or slightly above factory boost levels. The actuator can be assembled with a stiffer spring upon request. Please contact us directly concerning this process
It is designed and built with the intention of increasing the boost output of a turbocharged system. We cannot guarantee compatibility with all applications, nor the ability to increase the boost output beyond a level that is within the parameters set by the engine-management-system of the given vehicle at the time of installation, whether that system is factory or aftermarket.
Forge Motorsport nor any of it?s authorised distributors can assume any responsibility for any adverse effects resulting from the installation and tuning of this product onto a vehicle whose engine-management-system, whether factory or aftermarket, is not capable of allowing for the desired level of adjustment. While Forge Motorsport is happy to supply you with an actuator capable of holding boost beyond that of your factory unit Forge are in no way capable of knowing nor suggesting that your vehicle's engine or related systems are capable of supporting or surviving the stresses of such elevated boost pressure.
After requests for a very durable, fit and forget version of Forge's actuators that would withstand the rigors of marine corrosion or simply would not tarnish, Forge have now added the option of ordering any of Forge's piston design actuators with stainless steel bodies and external components/fixings. This option does incur a surcharge and will be shown when added to your basket.
