Air filters are the first step to tuning any engine. The principle is simple, the more air you get in the engine, the more power you get out. Ok, so there is obviously more to it than that, but bolting on an induction kit can increase your cars power from 1-2bhp, up to 15bhp (rolling road proven!!) With modern ECU's you don't have to re-map or tune the engine, just bolt the kit on! Even a replacement element alone can add a couple of horses, and you never have to replace it, so they quickly pay for themselves. For the maximum power, you can go for a K&N typhoon kit, or an enclosed intake system like the BMC CDA kits maximising cold air intake.

Performance exhausts are a great way to improve the power, and sound of your car! Excess crankcase pressure is vented from the crankcase through the PCV system, where it is drawn into the intake manifold and returned by the engine. This recirculated air contains aerated oil from the crankcase which is burned by the engine.?Turbo charged engines often draw?significant amounts of oil into the engine through the PCV system. This oil catch tank system removes aerated oil?so that it can be drained and recycled.
This kit is suitable for intallation to the 2 litre FSi engines found in the VW MK5 Golf , MK5 Golf Edition 30 and SEAT Leon Cupra ( not for engine codes CCTA CBFA ) The kit is available in two versions, as in different geographic locations these vehicles are fitted with a carbon filter, located?at the front of the?engine bay?( on the left as you open the bonnet / hood )
